This wine is an exceptional expression of not only the terroir, but also the vintage. Opening with traditional savory aromas of Syrah, the palate is young and lively, offering a beautiful structure for aging. Aromas and flavors of a warmer, riper vintage, the balanced acidity and delicate, but youthful, tannin structure is evidence of the high elevation and dramatic diurnal swings of this great vineyard site. Drink now with bleu cheese, smoked meats or grilled steaks, or cellar for many years to come for improved tannin texture and multiple new layers of flavor to reveal themselves.

Sourced from Heart of the Hill Vineyards in the Red Mountain AVA, this is our single varietal Mourvédre, and only available for club members. The long hot days and cool evenings produce grapes with a rare combination of sugar and acidity, resulting in concentrated wines with great structure. Drink on its own, or pair with steak, lamb, or blue cheese.

For over a decade we have been producing age worthy wines steeped in old world, minimal intervention winemaking practices. The black label series wines showcase our passion for producing Rhone varietals grown at exceptional vineyard sites in eastern Washington. This limited production Syrah from the Horse Heaven Hills AVA was aged eighteen months in neutral French Oak.
